what ive been up to recently

last weekend was a nice one. i met the nozao's and their niece for coffee at starbucks. we enjoyed chatting and sitting there with each other. then i went to nagoya and met kanako for lunch and some window shopping. after that i met hiro to go to his friend's goodbye party. it was a nice day with lots of people and good times.

sunday i got up and went to midori's new place. midori is one of my running friends who ran the 24 hour relay with me last year. she met her husband there and so i went over to see them. 3 other girls came and we had a good lunch and lots of fun

now its back to work i cant believe tomorrow will be july already! july will be a busy month. we have our summer party. well 2 actually. the 23rd will be for little kids and then the 26th with be for older kids. fortunately there is also a 3 day weekend in july.

its supposed to rain for a long time. it really is rainy season now. yuck. the only good thing is that its cooler. but dont worry. im sure august will be extra hot!

weekending

this morning i met with the Nozao's. i met their niece. very nice time! now im gonna go meet up with kanako then later on with hiro. looking forward to seeing midori tomorrow. this week was a nice week. my students were good. but i like weekends! my brother will be coming soon. about a month and 10 days or so. yay! let the counting down begin.

well off to town for the day! have a good weekend everyone!

friday

its friday. cant complain. debating on wether to run outside or on the treadmill. looks hot out already. i can't say anything too terribly exciting has happened this week. just been working and running and swimming. its almost july! wow. i found out a good friend of mine is pregnant. yay! thats exciting!

well that sums up my week! im off to maybe run outside.

Can someone please turn on my brain?

Today I got up at 6. Ate. Ran. Showered. Cleaned. Couldn't find my shoes and it was making mr late to French class. I called hiro frantically asking him if I'd left my shoes at his place. While I was talking to him, I ended up finding the shoes. So I ran out the door and hurried to the station. I was only 7 minutes late. But that's when I realized, already seated in class and looking around me, that my session had finished last week and today was the first week of the new session. The new session I hadn't signed up for. So I excused myself and explained the situation. The teacher was really nice about it and said I could stay as his american cousin. But I decided to leave and spend more time with some friends who will leave tmw. Wow. I need to go look for my brain.

triathlon

i found out last friday that my friend and i both got in to the 2009 irago triathlon. its the first weekend of september. so training will start july. although im already waaaay ahead of schedule. i have a good base, now i need to work on speed and tuning. today i am waiting for my pastor/biking companion to come over and help me fix my bike. then we will go out for a ride. the triathlon is approximately 1km swim, 40km bike and 10km run.

hmm other than that, life is going. as of sunday, have been in japan for 3 years! wow! and ill make it another 2 years for a grand total of 5 years! wow. one day at a time. work is ok. sometimes its hard because there is nothing new. for 3 years, work has basically stayed the same. 90% of the same kids. same books. so sometimes i get lazy or less fun. im working on trying to change that but it sure is hard.

other than that, nothing new. its getting warm here. but still very tolerable! just wait till august. yuck!

Sunday morning

This morning I woke up all excited to ride my bike to church. I got all ready and pumped up my tire and a piece broke. Apparently it was an important piece because now my tire is flat. Bummer. Now waiting for my train.

my good friend tomoko got married in australia and when she got back she had a wedding party in toyota. it was a good time, even if i didn't win at bingo!

sunday, monday

sunday after church, we had a picnic in the park. i didnt take any pictures, but it was a lot of fun! the perfect weather. good company. good food.

monday was a good day. usually my mondays classes every other week are not my favorite, but yesterday was ok. not so bad. i also ran 8.5 miles and felt good! i followed it up with aerobics and swimming

today i am gonna only run 3 miles, but fast. then aerobics and swimming.

so i think i have brought people up to date with everything. sorry it took so long to post an update! have a good week!

this past weekend

this past weekend, i went to french class. then after, i went to nagoya to read and relax. i hung out in starbucks. for like 3 hours. i read, relaxed, listened to music and sent some text messages. then i met up with hiro and some friends and we had korean food for dinner!

2 weekends ago, i was leaving french class and happened to see a girl leaving too at the same time (from a different class) i didnt think much of it and continued on my way and was planning to just go hang out around sakae. as i got off the subway in sakae, i saw the same girl and decided to talk to her. her name is yuko and we ended up hanging out for the next few hours. it was so fun! shes hilarious! we went to lunch at the thai festival in nagoya and chatted in a mix of french, english and japanese. then we met up with one of my friends deanna and we went to a cafe! so fun!
