6 weeks in japan

so can we beleive its already been 6 weeks in japan? i cant beleive it. ive been so busy, that time is just flying by!

last thursday i woke up with a sore throat, only to wake up friday with a runny nose...thanksto the cute little kids at work who are full of germs. well i was feeling better friday night, just a runny nose, soi went out with my friend josh and we had our typical friday night of food, fake beer, and karaoke. fun times. he drove me home, hahah and by drive i mean i was on the back of his bike wearing his shoes (because my sheos were heels) whule he pedaled me home haha. fun times at 2am. then sat i woke up, a little sicker and cleaned and ran errands and got some medicine. then i got to go to a fireworks show in gifu prefecture with josh and some of his friends. we got to dress up in japanese clothes and watch an hour and half of fireworks. then we came back to kasugai and went back to karaoke. but by this time, i sounded like a boy at puberty becuase of my cold. lol... went home, went to bed.

this morning i woke up to go to church and i was sick sick sick. coulnt breathe, couldnt talk, and kept coughing. so i took more medicine and went back to bed. i slept till 3. then i lounged around all day drinking fluids and took a bath. i have a voice now, but who knows for how long. hopefully i have a voice for a weekfrom at least 2-9 for work.

i am feeling a little better now, but i think i better go to bed early to try to get better.

p.s. this friday i ate fried mushrooms and octopus salad. sat i ate somekind of fried ball with octopus in it. and to be honest, i enjoyed all of it.

so far so good

so far so good this week.. yesterday i taught 4 classes by myself and i feel pretty good about them. 2 adult classes and 2 little kid classes. i think the little ones are growing on me. dont get me wrong, i still prefer the older kids and adults, however, i am starting to like the little kids classes as well.

then today i did a full load of 5 classes and itwent well. i was pretty tired, but i did it. and hopefully i will learn and get better as i go along.

i finally found out my address, so if you want it, send me an email. ill am looking forward to getting some mail!

I cant belive its already the end of july. wow..time goes by fast.

we got an airconditioner yesterday. but we probably wont use it much... it hasnt been too unbearable before i go to work, and there is air at work, and then at night, it cools off. my best friends (my 2 fans in my room) keep me good company at night!

ok well have a good day

i love weekends

so i had a great fun weekend like usual. friday after work, my cooworker, josh-only for 1 more week coworker, and i went out to dinner at a place near my apt. we had some fried things on sticks and fake beer...i am not sure what this fake beer is, its still has alcohol, but its not made out of the same stuff, but it still tastes like beer.. i dont know.. but fun times were had. then around midnight we decided it would be fun to go do kareoke. so we go down tot he kareoke place about 5 min away and sing our little hearts out. haha i love kareoke with josh, neither of us can sing like a professional, so we were just crazy and singing disney and shakira.

then we decided to add another hour, so i went and got another hour, by myself, in japanese, and then i asked where the bathroom is. haha. i came back to our kareoke room so proud of myself and josh told me he followed me to make sure i could do it...hahah then around 4 am i finally got home and wentto bed.

sat morning, woke up at 9 30 and tomomi and i went and bought things for our place and got me a cell phone. its pink and beautiful. i honestly dont know how i lived without it before. i love sending messages unlimitedly to people and i can make videos and send them.

we got done shopping around 4 and then i got ready and went to meet kayla for dinner and spend the night at her nice AIRCONDITIONED atp. we ate curry and then went back to her place. we talked, watched tv, watched memoirs of a geisha and went to bed.

in the movie memoirs of a geisha, we learned that geishas can just stop men with one look... so that was one of our goals for sunday

sunday we woke up and went to church. i think i am goign to continue at this church. i really liked it and there are a lot of people all teaching english and all about the same age. and after the service we all went out to eat. it was really fun.

then after lunch, kayla and iwere walking back to the subway when this cute little od lady on a bike stops and starts talking to us. well kayla really becasue she can speak japanese. then kayla told me how the woman thought we had beautiful faces and talked about a philippino girl and how she was afraid of foreigners...

she left and we continue walking.. then she comes back and asks us to go to lunch. we tell her we already ate, but then she insists on buying us this japanese food that was being sold at a table near us. its like gooey rice paste ball stuff dipped in sauce. she tells the table something along the lines of she wants to buy us foreigners one becasue we have beautiful faces... so we get one and we eat it there. saying oh this is delicious... then we leave and go to the train. hahaha..random.

then i come home, and take a nap for 45 min. then tomomi and i cleaned...kinda and we set things up. our place is starting to look like an apt where people live...

thenjosh came and picked me up to go to his place to watcfh the fireworks he filmed yesterday and give me some stuff for my place (since we get all his stuff when he leaves) then i came back, talkled to tomomi, talked to my mom and went to bed.

now its monday morning. i am procrastinating showering. surprise surprise and the a/c guy is supposed to come today. then ill start my week of work.

so thats my weekend. how was yours? email me if you want my phone number...
