happy birthday canada!

so yesterday was great great great day! i got up. went on a walk with yuki. then we got ready and went into nagoya to meet a friend from OU...kayla. who is great and knows everything about nagoya! we met and looked around and ate lunch, talked and just had fun. then we met up with kanako and her boyfriend and went to starbucks. we had a grea ttime talking and laughing. kanako and her boyfriend are so darn cute!
then we walked around town for awhile before we went to meet the australian from work to go to the australian bar. but then he couldnt make it, so we went with out him. we met another australian there and the 6 of us talked and ate dinner! then towards the end of the night, a bunch of canadians came in the australian bar, wearing canada gear and stickers of the canadian flag on their face, making lots of noise. so kayla and i decide to ask one of them why they are here...and so proud of their country tonight,.

the guy turns around and the conversation goes as follows+

kayla and jen: so why are all of you canadians here and celebrating
canadian guy: ITS CANADA DAY!!!!! (he is looking at us like we have a third eye ...how could we have not known it was canada day) ITS CANADAS BIRTHDAY!


well geez...how did we miss that.

so after laughing for like 5 min, we leave and laugh some more. wondering why the canadians celebrate canada day at the australian bar.
