Super Weekend

So this weekend was a super weekend and here's why. Sat. we woke up and lounged around. then put up the christmas tree and decorations. we went to the store to buy cookie making supplies and then we had friends come over. we had miao miao, xuelian, (chinese girls) patricia and her boyfriend renault (they are french) we made cookies and hung out talking -in french of course! and it was a super pleasent afternoon. then R squared and i hung out and did whatever in the evening. and i spent the night..becasue they love me so much. they even gave me my own set of keys!!! watch out girls!

sunday i got up and got ready for church. i went to church and it was good. I really enjoyed the message and i really enjoy the praise and worship! then afterwards, ruth lise, christian, nicolas, marie christine, and aurelien and i ate lunch together at the church. then we went to pick up the people from the thursday night bible study i started helping with, to go hiking near la ciotat (about 25 min away by car)

so it was us plus the chinese girls, ele from england, dion from jamaca, a girl from india, and a boy from madagascar and alix from gabon and another guy from somewhere else. we had a super afternoon of hanging out, getting to know one another better and making plans for the upcoming week. then we all went back to the church and made crepes (YUM) and had a time of praise and worship. it has been really great to find a ministry here in france. It has shown me how people are interested in learning more about Jesus and how they can have a personal relationship with Him. about half the bible study is made up of people interested in learning more... so pray for them.

Then this morning, i got up early becuase i have to get lots of stuff done today. I was doing well, but when i went to the caf, to get my papers for my rent decrease, they told me i was missing my carte de sejour... this is the card that lets me stay in france. i havent received it yet, therefore, i dont have a right to this money...so i must continue to wait. and wait and wait. maybe i will email the director of the program and ask her when i should get this.. becuase my 3 months of being in france are almost up... i kinda need this carte.

today i will have dinner with the other language assistants at my school.

the other day my boss told me that she's never seen an assistant make as many friends as i have. She cant beleive i am so busy. i cant imagine the lifestyles of the other assistants. i need to be social and hang out with people. speaking of hanging out, i have a dinner party every night this week! then i leave for toulon for sat and sunday! wow! thats awesome!
