Goza Shirahama camping

So last weekend was so so so so great. Hiro and I got up, and left at 10. finally lugged all our stuff across town to the station and got on the train to head down to the beach. after a 2 hour train ride, we made it to the ferry. the ferry ride was 25 minutes and when we got to the dock, the campsite person came and picked us up to drive us to the campgrounds. we got to the campgrounds and everything was so green and quiet. we got a nice spot and set up all our stuff. by the time we finished we were sweating a ton. so we changed and went to the beach. the beach was only about 5 minutes from our tent. we spent the next couple of hours on the beach, eating food and relaxing. then we showered, cooked dinner, took a walk around the area and then headed to bed. got up at 7:30 and ate breakfast. around 8am we headed to the beach and spent almost the entire day there. we rented a big umbrella. we swam a ton! it was so fun. around 3 or so, our friends came to meet us and then we all hung out at the beach. then we had a good dinner since they brought a grill. after dinner we took a walk and set off some fireworks on the beach. then it started to rain. and our tents were not closed up!

we ran back and closed everything up and got in the tent. (i guess i should mention that the tent was a 1-2 person tent. and 2 people have no room to move around. especially if you dont want to touch the wall and get all wet. ) but since the rain cover was on, the screens were blocked and it was HOT!!!! eventually we got out. got in the car and went to the nearest convenience store to buy ice cream!

we came back with buckets of ice and went to sleep.

the next morning, the rain stopped and we spent another morning at the beach till about 12:30. we showered, checked out and headed back to nagoya.

all in all it was such a great weekend. so nice to get away. relax. swim and play. i didnt want to come back!
