i love my life

so this past weekend was super! friday night i was at a dinner party for the young people (my age) from my church at ruth lise's house. shes a great cook! i wish i could cook as well as she does. i will hopefully learn one day. then i stayed up late and procrastinated even though my train left for montpellier at 9am sat. i stayed up and did whatever. then i woke up at like 7 am to get ready and go to the train station. when i arrived in montpellier, privat and lydia were there waiting for me. we wandered around for the afternoon and that night we had a ivory coast night. first becuase i was with mostly ivory coast people and also becuase the ivory coast won a soccer game. as you can see from the pictures, i had a good time. i learned how to cut fish. so now if i am ever in the middle of the woods and near a lake and have a fishing pole, i can now cook me a fish. it was awesome. then i also ate with my hands to make the night authentic. i like it. i may start. from now on forget the fork forget the knife forget the chopsticks...im eating with only my hands. hhaha.

then after everyone left, lydia and i stayed up late and talked, and got up around 9 for church. went to church, had a meal together (churches in france like to eat together. i cant complain) then we went to watch some people from the church play soccer. it was FREEZING. montpellier is a little north of marseille and a whole lot colder.!!!! we watched them play for like 2 hours and i was a popsicle. then we went back to lydia's house and warmed up till it was time for my train. turns out raquel who was coming back from spain was on the same train as i was so we sat together, got back to marseille. and took a taxi home.

today i went to look for boots becuase i am always wearing little shoes and light socks when its cold and so i went to the open air market becuase everything is cheap there. and i found a pair of boots for 8 euros. so i got them. then i went on a feild trip this afternoon. my students and i saw frankenstein. it was alright. i liked that it was in english. who cares if i was one of the only people in the room who understood anything.

hmm what else... i think thats all for now. ill post some pics.
have a good day.
