triathlon
well due to injury, i have been out of running for 6 weeks now. it sucks. i wont lie. everyday i am optimistic that it will be the day i can run again... so far, that day hasn't come. but i remain optimistic.
the positives of the situation.... i have really focused on swimming and biking. i can now swim 2 km no stopping in 40 minutes on a good day. i can cycle at least 60 km no problem (i haven't tried to go further... one of these days when it stops raining on saturday..
this is good because i want to do a half ironman next summer if possible. i still have to find one and see how doable it is with my work schedule. but the half ironman distances are swim 1.9 km bike 90 km run 21.1 km
once i get back to running without pain, catching back up to where i was, i know i can go the extra (especially after my many many marathons planned for this year) and add the other 2 sports.
lets hope for quick healing, and no more serious injury for another year!
